The Truth About Video:  What B2B Sales & Marketing Leaders Need to Know

From the desk of Jeff Simmons

Lately we've been seeing some impressive results with videos.

So I did some research on the topic to see what kind of results other companies are getting.

What I discovered was pretty revealing, so I thought I'd share some of the most interesting stats and trends.

You'll find links to the source materials inside each bullet point.
How does it work?
First we help clients choose what kind of video to make (based on our library of over 100 proven B2B sales and marketing videos).

Then we help them:

-  Decide what the content should be.

-  Develop the script and talking points.

-  Film, record, edit, produce, publish and distribute.

It's all done 100% remotely.
How long is each video?
Anywhere from 30 seconds to about two minutes.
Why is that?
Because in general, short videos convert better than long ones.

Business buyers want answers to their questions in a format that's convenient, concise and to-the-point.
  • Buyers don't want highly-polished corporate videos --- they're looking for personalized videos that address their specific situation and individual needs
  • 86% of video marketers say that video is an effective way to generate leads
  • Almost one out of five marketers (18%) expect to increase their video budget by more than 50%
  • 79% of companies who don't currently use video say they expect to start in 2022 (that's 10% higher than 2021, 20% higher than 2020)
  • About 85% of marketers said they create video content at least once per month, 56% said once a week, 26% said daily
  • Companies are making more videos in-house instead of hiring ad agencies --- 64% of marketers report creating video content internally

Finally, marketers today are more concerned about the speed of video creation than cost

Ultimately, the goal is to create more videos, more often.

But here's the problem:

Most companies simply can’t produce all the videos they need.

Why?

Two reasons:

1.  They don’t have a clear strategy, so they're not sure where to get started.

2.  Lack of time.

So that’s why I put together a new 20-minute Executive Briefing --- to help Sales and Marketing leaders get up to speed quickly.

At the end of this Briefing, you'll walk away with:
